Confession time-
If I was a member of your team on a pub quiz with Geography as a topic, this would definitely not be my strongest round. (Expect to lose) But... I am learning!
Today's session was focused around physical geography under the theme of water.
Therefore we covered 3 mains areas of subject content-
Rivers, mountains and coastlines
Earthquakes and volcanoes
Weather and climate zones

Terminology I have learnt-
Plunge pool

Tributary
Catchment area
Confluence
Erosion
Great books to stimulate discussion-
Magic Beach by Alison Lester (KS1)
Finn at Clee Point by Richard Knight and Giovanni Manna (KS2)

*Ensure the planning works towards NC objectives.
*Vary your teaching strategies to keep children interested, curious and engaged.
*Learning outside the classroom opportunities can be exploited, first hand experiences are always great if relevant.
*Assessment- collect evidence, take pictures and record explanations! Be creative! No stats- take advantage!
