On March 9th 2016 I was given the opportunity to take part on the Heart Start course ran by the British Heart Foundation through Edge Hill University, I learnt some very simple but life saving skills and I am so thankful for the opportunity.
The course covered a wide range of first aid procedures associated with emergency situations:
*Dealing with an unconscious person
*The signs and symptoms of a heart attack
*How to preform CPR correctly and safely
*Dealing with someone who is choking
*The recovery position
*Dealing with serious bleeding
*Defibrillator practice
Here is a copy of the certificate I earned on completion of the course-
