Friday 29th January- At home time I spoke with the parents of two children because I set their children an activity to complete at home. A recent maths test had suggested that some children don't know the months of the year, as a result I gave the children a writing activity. The activity asked them to complete the worksheet, looking and then writing the months and then to cover and write the months of the year. In addition, I gave one child in particular a key ring with the months of the year in order with their name and relating number clearly visible. I also asked one child to colour in a calendar to display in their home to act as a visual reminder.

Monday 1st February- I communicated with the parents of the entire class via the class dojo points system. I have explained that I wish for the children to design and make their own Anderson Bomb Shelter to conclude the World War 2 topic therefore donations of resources such as: cardboard, lollipop sticks, newspaper would be greatly appreciated.
Wednesday 3rd February- I used the schools text messaging service to ask the Parents that aren't on class dojo for resources to use during the design and technology lesson.
